Maser Kitend
From Mundarara, Maser is a widow, with four children.
She has eight double dug beds, one keyhole garden and one sack garden. Testigo used her boma as a demonstration plot, and everyone in the group contributed to the garden, but Maser is maintaining the garden.
She said that the biggest impact of the Ukuaji project is that she is now able eat vegetables with her family. She made more than 50,000TZS (A$33) within a few weeks of producing her first round of vegetables from selling the produce to other people in the village, and continues to sell vegetables, supporting her family nutritionally and economically.
